PGDA was invited by the Davao United Association of Animators and Designers, Inc. (DUAAD) to speak at the first annual GraphiCon Davao held on December 1, 2011 at the Abreeza Mall Activity Center. Its thrust is to enrich the graphic design and motion graphics community in Davao and to promote peace and unity through creative media and software applications. It was a pleasant surprise to find nearly 800 students and professionals alike in attendance. The program included keynote speakers Seph Mayol, Sonny Leon, Snow Chua, and Drei Boquiren along with PGDA Directors Ritchie and Doyit Baquirin. Technical sessions covered topics such as Multimedia Design and Development, Copyrights on Using Media Files, Website Design and Development, Graphic Design, and Motion Graphics Development. PGDA presented its program along with the works of its winners so far. It was an awesome experience to touch base with the Davao creative community and in line with our desire to discover and connect with talents all over the motherland.
